FRP Cooling Tower
Cross Flow Cooling Tower
The design of crossflow cooling towers features a specific arrangement of fill media, allowing the hot process water to flow vertically downward due to gravity while the air moves horizontally across the falling water, effectively cooling it. This arrangement gives the design its name.
One key advantage of crossflow cooling towers is that the water can flow down the fill solely by the force of gravity, as there is no opposing force in its flow direction. To ensure even distribution of the water, hot water basins are positioned above the fills, with the surface of the basins covered by the incoming hot water as it enters the crossflow cooling towers.
This design allows for efficient and effective cooling of the process water, providing a reliable solution for various industrial applications. By utilizing gravity and optimizing the flow dynamics, crossflow cooling towers offer a practical and efficient approach to cooling processes.
